Mini Test

Question 2

You are teaching the theme “Environment” to a form three class with intermediate level of proficiency. Describe one activity on how to integrate the following thinking skills into your lesson.

a. Analysis
b. Application

Personally I would use a 'wh' mind map question on them. Of course the topic would be about environment. Using the 'wh' question the student would then do an analysis of the environment. Maybe they could analyzes about the reason for the haze or the effect of deforestation of a forest. Well something like that.
b. application

As for how to apply their thinking skill. Well I think I would have the class do an group discussion on how would they preserve the environment. They would have to use their thinking skill to find other ways possible to prevent the destruction of the environment. Although, the ways that they think the have to be consulted with the teacher to see if its a good way to preserve environment. If not then they would have to find another ways thought the will be having the teacher guidance.

  1. Your activities are acceptable. It will be good if you could relate 'application' activity to real life situation. For example, ask the students to investigate recycling awareness in their house. Create a list of items which their parents recycle such as newspaper, clothes, plastic, etc.
